The end of the year is almost here, believe it or not. That means manufacturers are prepping their products for 2023 and trying to get them into dealerships within the next few months. We’ve already seen a number of new debuts for next year – heck, we’ve even driven some of them. But there’s still plenty more on the way before January rolls around. These are just a few.

2023 Alfa Romeo Tonale
Alfa Romeo expanded its crossover lineup by one with the introduction of the Tonale. Slotted beneath the larger Stelvio, the Tonale is the brand's first plug-in-hybrid vehicle and features a turbocharged 1.3-liter inline-four engine with battery assist. Its total output is 272 horsepower with 30 miles of electric range. The new Tonale goes on sale later this year and should start at around $30,000.
2023 BMW 7 Series / i7
BMW's biggest and most luxurious sedan is all-new for the 2023 model year. The new 7 Series boasts bold styling, a lavish interior, and now two powertrain options: gas or electric. The gas models come in six- and eight-cylinder variants while the new BMW i7 uses a 101.7-kilowatt-hour battery pack. Both the gas 7 Series and the i7 produce up to 536 horsepower.
2023 BMW XM
BMW debuted the XM concept last year with wild styling and a plug-in–hybrid powertrain capable of up to 750 horsepower. Now, that concept will become a reality. The launch version will have 644 hp and 650 lb-ft, while the 750-hp version is expected later in 2023. No word on pricing.
2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06
The long-awaited C8 Z06 hits the road later this year, boasting 670 horsepower and 460 pound-feet courtesy of a new 5.5-liter V8. This super coupe can rev to a ridiculous 8,600 RPM and will hit 60 miles per hour in just 2.6 seconds. The new Z06 starts at $106,395 – but the order books have already closed for the 2023 model year.
2023 Dodge Hornet
Dodge (finally) has its own compact crossover in the new Hornet. Built on the Alfa Romeo Tonale platform, the Dodge Hornet has a standard turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and a plug-in hybrid option that produces up to 285 horsepower and a 0-60 sprint of 6.1 seconds. The new Hornet goes on sale later this year and it should start at around $30,000.
2023 Ferrari Purosangue
The first Ferrari SUV is here. The Purosangue packs a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine that gives it 715 horsepower and 528 pound-feet of torque – the most power in any naturally aspirated Ferrari product to date. The new Ferrari Purosangue goes on sale later this year and will start at around $400,000.
2023 Honda CR-V
The 2023 Honda CR-V has been a long-time coming. The brand’s beloved compact sedan underwent a makeover for 2023 that includes significant updates to the exterior, a new Civic-inspired cabin, and updates to the engine option.
2023 Honda HR-V
The Honda HR-V crossover debuted in the US back in 2016. But for the 2023 model year, the subcompact gets a major overhaul that now includes a sharp exterior design and a new 2.0-liter engine that produces 158 horsepower and 138 pound-feet. This small crossover starts at $24,895.
2024 Hyundai Ioniq 6
While technically not a 2023 model year vehicle, we expect the Ioniq 6 electric sedan to go on sale later this year outside of the US before making its way to America. With your choice of 53.0- or 77.4-kilowatt-hour battery packs and up to 320 horsepower available in the dual-motor model, the Ioniq 6 should start at around $40,000.
2023 Kia Niro
The Kia Niro underwent a sharp makeover for 2023. That update includes a fresh exterior design, a modern interior, and the continuation of both the PHEV and full-EV models. That said, the base Niro gets the same 1.6-liter hybrid setup as last year, good for 139 hp. Expect to see the hybrid on sale in the US within the next few months.
2023 Lexus RZ
Lexus is electrifying its lineup, and the brand's first full EV will be the RZ crossover – a battery-powered sibling to the RX. The RZ should ride atop the same e-TNGA platform as the Toyota BZ4X and the Subaru Solterra, but likely with a bigger battery pack and more range. The Lexus RZ will go on sale later this year.
2023 Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV
With the introduction of the Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV, the smaller EQE SUV will join the lineup later this year. The base model will offer 288 horsepower while an AMG version could pump out as much as 671 hp in top spec.
2023 Polestar 3
Polestar is expanding its lineup by one – or 3. The new Polestar 3 will be the brand's first electric crossover, joining the current Polestar 2 sedan. The Polestar 3 crossover should borrow elements from the 2 sedan, including both single- and dual-motor layouts. But we won't know all the details until the EV goes on sale later this year.
2023 Toyota Crown
Not quite a sedan, not really a crossover, the Crown is a unique addition to the Toyota lineup for 2023. It comes with two hybrid powertrain options – a 2.5-liter engine and a turbocharged 2.4-liter unit – with the most powerful version producing 340 horsepower. The new Crown goes on sale later this year, but Toyota hasn’t provided any details on pricing.
2023 Toyota GR Corolla
Although we won't get the GR Yaris in the US, Toyota is quenching our thirst for a hot hatchback with the new GR Corolla. Rumored to use the same turbocharged 1.6-liter three-cylinder engine as the Yaris, the GR Corolla could have nearly 270 hp and a manual transmission when it debuts later this year.
