Everyone keeps on telling me to spend my 300m on talismans (probably around 150-200 more magic power)

The only reason I see for spending that much is for attack speed or crit chance, and all of the other stats can be upgraded for way less money because of cata level scaling

It buffs anything you want it to be.
you really should care about it because my friend thats cata 15 only can do 150k damage with a livid with 98mp
When I was cata 15 I could do 400k damage with livid with 350 mp

It matters on m5 and above.

By matters I mean actively going for mp, you should by default have like 600-700 mp b4 you even start going for talis.

If you are mage in normal dungeons, mp doesn't matter at all.
Mp matters least in dungeons but it's still good.

Anyways, if you are getting 200 mp from only 300m then yea that's worth it, you should do that.

Yea but for your example you could basically double your magic power for like 30m

In my case i would probably have to spend near 1b to double my magic power

Not how it works.
200 mp doesn't make you do triple dmg.

You should always try to increase your mp
you don't have to immediately do it

There were some other factors like skill and stats and stuff but I can't put that in because I don't remember what I had

talismans are ESSENTIAL OUTSIDE OF DUNGEONS but in dungeons all of ur stats are amplified and unless ur in master mode you can do f7 with 300-400 mp it wont make as much of a difference. Now that doesnt mean u go into m3 with 300 mp in master mode it really does matter, but for normal floors you should definetely get your magic power higher because its better but its not a necessity and getting 150 mp to get like 140 crit damage is ehhhh. The only real purpose i find is attack speed and all in all in normal floors your mp doesn;t have to be that high

800mp is the bare minimum to have very consistent and fast runs on all floors. Cata level matters a lot more since cata 40 is getting like 100% more stats than a cata 30.

it can help with getting attack speed, speed, and other stats you don't get much or any of from your armor. it also helps once you get term with the crit chance
