Margo S I was a true fan of the Gaines! That is until Jo lost her humility. Her energy is so cold and arrogant. She never says anything positive about Chip and honestly, without his mastery she wouldn't have any rooms to drag her old broken farm tools, letters and numbers into. I know that the director likes to joke w Chip and I get the joke that Jo is the decorator so what she wants goes. What I don't get is her eye rolling, tossing her hair, never smiling, and stuck up, what Jo wants energy. It's taken away from the show to the point that the show is no longer on my favorites list anymore. I watch Magnolia channel for other shows, that are real talent, such as Restoring Galveston. They still exude love, respect, and working together and neither tries to overshadow the other. They're a young couple in love w their work but mainly w their family and the charm in that is what keeps me watching. Jo, on the other hand, has lost that. Chip is a patient man and yes, he plays along well w the Poor Jo, dealing w the dummy like Chip. His work is amazing! He maintains his humility, his dignity and his work never suffers. He keeps Shorty around and his energy, his talent haven't changed or suffered with success. Jo, has a whole team of help behind her, and it's sad that it's directed in such a way that makes Jo the center of it all when without Chip and his amazing craft, and a whole team that remains in the shadows, are the real masters and success. Jo, find your humility again and stop talking about yourself so much! You've lost what used to make you two a sweet success. Be glad Chip carries the load of that for you both because without him, you wouldn't be a success. It wouldn't hurt to show some affection to the man who is willing to let you climb up to the podium on his back. In this new series, she is just plain not at all nice to him, and this morning when I turned on season one episode one, she was putting him down about some window placement, not even nice about it, and the exchange is probably something that should have been done behind the scenes and not for the viewers to see her put him down and treat him like a child.
