What is the highest DPS class in gw2? ›

I didn't boost a character until I had leveled my first character to 80 and didn't regret it, probably took somewhere around 30 hours of play to get there just casually doing events and filling hearts and doing story.

You must choose an order to complete your personal story. It is also required for Krytan map completion, since Claw Island can only be unlocked during the story. Characters may only purchase weapons and armor from the order they belong to.

As their class mechanics are simple and they can fall back on their pet when they're having trouble, Rangers are one of the easiest classes to learn. Soulbeast elite specialization allows Rangers to merge with their pets to become tough damage dealers. Soulbeast is the closest a Ranger can get to playing without a pet.

In open world and dungeons, no one checks for dps. In my experience, anything between 20 - 30k on normal phaseless bosses, depending on elite spec and the skill of the player. I've been playing instanced content for years and I rarely see someone hit 30k.

Yeah, it's probably worth it. GW2 is one of these games where old content is not always abandoned content, you still see really many players alking around in the older expansions, simply since it's still worth doing them. So the age of the game is not really a disadvantage.

Every class has good builds for every game mode. It is more a question of what class you like. If you settle on that between all the expansion builds you will find one that works for each game mode. No class is completely bad or good.
